Subject: Wow!
Having listened to about half of this as of yet, I'm having a great time.

What's coming through blazingly is the commitment to making the music something fresh and immediate and newly discovered right here, right now. While the setlist might suggest otherwise, this is in some ways the furthest thing imaginable from a nostalgia act. I'm getting off the couch to go see them this summer -- haven't been to a post-GD band in almost a decade -- and I'm really looking forward. These guys have my deepest respect.

For those who think this song was too "long" or "weird", ask youself one question.
When's the last time, or the next time, you are going to hear this song played live? Probably never. Embrace.

. This show was great. evreyone was so nice and the music was fantastic.
Ship Of Fools-IMHBTR-Ship Of Fools was spellbinding. Friend of the Devil was great, and don't forget the second set. It all was great!

great show. brought my old man for his birthday and couldn't have been happier with the setlist and musical guests. love how they got a little political through the music too with throwing stones. check out the review i wrote for my blog http://cwellinger.blogspot.com/

Thanks so much for posting. Sounds fantastic! Was certainly one of the best post Jerry shows I have ever seen!!

By any chance, is this Z-Man from Lafayette College?

Subject: ELVIS! Amazing Show!
My o my did this one ever jump up and grab ya! Superb set I with guests that just make you smile! Elvis went over the top with the SoF-Roses-SoF sandwich, for sure.

There are so many things that can go poorly with guests on stage and really, this was about as perfect as it could get, in my opinion. One or two small glitches, but otherwise, just exactly perfect.

While "What's Become of the Baby" might have gone on a little too long, I thought that the rest of set II was really strong - the St Stephen and 11->UJB->Unbroken->Wheel->Dew->Sugar Mags was amazing. Days Between needs John singing it, imho, but I like it all the same. The Fever was a nice surprise and gave a taste they hadn't featured all night - and the Attics to truly close was sublime. WOW!

This performance was nothing short of musical magic from the first to the last note. The special guests were amazing. The collective energy inside the venue hovered close to that lofty ceiling.
Elvis Costello singing Ship of Fools> IMHBTR> Fools was spine-tingling!! The What's Become of the Baby was ethereal. John's singing of Morning Dew made Jerry smile down upon us. Phil thanking US for the music was touching. The Attics of My Life closer was the perfect icing on the cake of a beautiful, beautiful show.

Z-Man is a good man! This is a high quality recording that has to be played loudly. Love the special guests here. Two husband and wife pairs. LC/TW and EC/DK. Very cool since the first time Sunrise was played live was with the husband and wife combo KG/DJG of the GD gotta love it!! Oh I meant the first time for sunrise.

Thank you again Z-Man...

Subject: Fun show. Great 2nd set.
Teresa Williams singing on "Sunrise" is BEAUTIFUL. "Attics" being sung by band and guests is deeply moving. (And "What's become of the baby?" is just plain weird.) Worth a listen.
